This is very exciting. In addition to our current IndiBloc production, we've initiated a research partnership with the University of Edinburgh to explore our ideas for a new advanced biotechnology material which has just been awarded funding from BBSRC. This will lead to our next generation of materials! We know the future lies in replacing petrochemical products and limited resources entirely with sustainable bio-based materials. Many fast-growing crops, particularly left-over crop materials, are more sustainable for use in construction than slow-growing timber products which we need to keep in the ground to sequester carbon over their lifetime.
