His Majesty The King visits IndiNature
His Majesty The King today visited IndiNature's manufacturing facility in Jedburgh.
During the visit, His Majesty toured the factory, where he was shown how UK-grown industrial hemp is processed into natural fibre insulation, met employees involved in production, learned about the manufacturing process, and unveiled a commemorative plaque.
The visit brought together representatives from across the industrial hemp, construction, investment and sustainability sectors, alongside local farmers and organisations supporting rural enterprise, reflecting the collaboration involved in developing UK supply chains for natural building materials.
Scottish Borders Manufacturing
Founded in 2016, IndiNature opened its manufacturing mill in Jedburgh in 2021. The company manufactures natural fibre insulation using UK-grown industrial hemp, working with UK farmers and organisations across the construction supply chain. The facility employs 19 permanent staff, building on the Scottish Borders' long-standing textile heritage.
